TS Polls: Helicopter Prices Increased

Telangana elections are to be held on the 30th of November when the polling will be held. The counting is on 3rd December and this will decide if KCR becomes the CM for the third time or if Telangana will have a new CM for the first time.

Coming to the topic, the rental prices of helicopters have gone up steeply with top-tier leaders showing great interest in hiring them for their election campaigns. The urge to be in as many public meetings as possible in the limited time left has increased the demand for these choppers.

Mumbai-based aviation company, Flying Birds has 4 choppers and 6 jets in its fleet. The company is now in overdrive mode with the increased demand for their choppers.

With the election being held in five states, including Telangana, there is a huge need for these choppers, say reports.

In 2019, the hourly rent for these choppers was between Rs 55,000 – Rs 1.3 lakh. But this year, the hourly rental has gone to Rs 2 lakh – 3.5 lakh. The staggering difference in the steep uprise of the rentals has shot up steeply.

With the demand already on a high, the aviation companies are hoping that the demand will shoot up further by the 2024 elections. They will further shoot up the rental prices by then.
