Former minister and TRS leader Tummala Nageswara Rao participated in the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of NTR held under the aegis of TDP in Khammam district.

Tummala said that if NTR gave political birth, people and fans made him what he is today.

Meanwhile, there are some media reports that some TDP cadre pressurized Tummala to come back to the party. They say Tummala off the record told them that he will take an appropriate decision at the appropriate time.

Khammam district borders Andhra Pradesh and TDP still has significant clout here.

Even in an election like 2018 which happened when TDP is decimated, the party won two seats in the district.

If at al, Tummala joins the party and works hard in the district, the party can open an account once again in 2023.

In recent times, Telangana TDP has become active and had admitted a strong BC leader into the party. There were reports that the party is planning to organize huge public meetings in Khammam and other areas.

So, it will be interesting if Tummala really joins TDP.

Tummala who is in TRS has been inactive for a long time now. Buzz in the district is that he is not getting on well with CM KCR.
