TV 5 Chairman As New TTD Chairman?

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is currently immersed in daily governance activities while also preparing for a crucial TDP Politburo meeting today. The primary agenda is to select candidates for various nominated posts. Sources indicate that within a week, Naidu will announce the first list of these nominations.

A significant aspect of this process is that 20% of the nominated posts are expected to be allocated to Jana Sena and BJP parties, reflecting the coalition dynamics. One of the most anticipated nominations is for the TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) Chairman, a position that garners considerable attention whenever there is a change in government. BR Naidu, the Chairman of TV 5, is almost confirmed for this prestigious role.

Another key consideration for Naidu is the size of the TTD board. The previous YSRCP government had significantly increased the board size, and it remains to be seen whether Naidu will maintain or reduce it. The decision on the board size will influence the number of TDP alliance MLAs who can be appointed as members.

Additionally, several other notable appointments are under consideration:

GV Anjaneyulu, Vinugonda MLA, is a strong contender for the Chief Whip post, which carries a status equivalent to that of a Cabinet rank.

Kalva Srinivasulu, a former minister, is likely to be selected as the Deputy Speaker in the Assembly.

Raghurama Krishna Raju, Undi MLA, may be appointed as the Co-ordinator, a role designed to facilitate the link between the state and the central government.

These appointments reflect Naidu’s strategic approach to governance and political alliances, aiming to ensure effective administration and robust political collaboration within the TDP-led government.
