Twitter is the most used social media platform for star celebrities, politicians, and others to connect with their followers. Now, Twitter has delivered a rude yet expected shock to the likes of YS Jagan, Chandrababu, Pawan Kalyan and many others.

Going into the story, Twitter, for a while now, had been saying that it is continuing they legacy blue checkmark that is used to identify and validate official Twitter handles of celebrities.

The social media giant stated that everyone needs to pay the monthly subscription fees if they are to continue with the blue tick mark.

Despite repeated reminders, several celebrities and their PR teams avoided Twitter’s statement on blue checkmark.

And earlier today, Twitter did the inevitable as they removed the blue checkmark for several celebrities, including the aforementioned names. Their Twitter handles are without the certified blue badge, which looks strange.

It is strange to know how the PR teams handling the Twitter handles of these renowned personalities conveniently ignored the reminders from Twitter regarding blue ticks. They avoided paying the token fee requested by Twitter and the social media platform has now delivered a shock by removing blue ticks for these handles.

If these handles are to get back the blue ticks, they’re to pay Rs 900 per month or Rs 9400 per year(for IOS users).
