Two New IPL Teams And Everything You Need To Know

The forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League is promising to be an exciting one as two new teams will be added to the tournament. The bidding for the two new IPL franchises was held today and here are the related details.

RPSG group, headlined by Sanjeev Goenka has acquired Lucknow-based franchise for a whopping Rs 7090 crores.

On the other hand, CVC Capital has acquired an Ahmedabad-based franchise for Rs 5166 crores.

So, Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises will be the two new additions to next year’s IPL tournament.

IPL is the biggest cash rich cricket league in the world and the fact that a new franchise costed as much as Rs 7000 crores proves the same.

A total of 22 companies and individuals participated in today’s bidding and RPSG group and CVC Capital have come up with winning bids.
