Udaygiri: Jagan Brings A Split In Mekapati Family

Udaygiri YSR Congress MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy defied the party whip and voted for the TDP candidate in the MLA-quota MLC elections after facing several insults from the party.

YSR Congress has suspended him and he is all set to join TDP.

Now, YSR Congress is going to field Mekapati Raja Reddy from the same family in Udaygiri. The official announcement is pending.

Raja Reddy attended the Gadapa Gadapaku Mana Prabhutvam workshop the other day indicating that he will be the candidate.

Jagan brought a split in the Mekapati family for YSR Congress politics.

Mekapati Raja Mohan Reddy deserted his brother Chandrasekhar Reddy and decided to stay with Jagan for the future of his son Vikram Reddy. And now, it is going to be Mekapati Vs Mekapati in Udaygiri if TDP decides to give a ticket to Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy.

Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy already announced that he would join TDP unconditionally and it is up to the TDP high command to give him the ticket or not.

Ever since 2004, Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy won four elections in Udaygiri. He only lost in 2014 to TDP candidate, Bollineni Venkata Rama Rao.
