Unbelievable! Billionaire Ambani to Pay Rs. 500 Fine

Reliance Jio may be fined with a penalty of Rs. 500 for violating broadcasting norms. Reliance Jio used Modi’s photograph in the advertisement earlier and opposition questioned upon the usage of Prime Minister’s photograph in the advertisement of a Private firm and if permission was given for the same.

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, minister of Information and Broadcasting said that there was no permission given to Reliance for displaying PM’s picture in their advertisement. However, he admitted that Prime Ministers Office was aware of the usage of Modi‘s picture in the add.

Neeraj Shekhar MP of Samajwadi Party asked if any action was taken against Reliance Jio for their act without permission and also queried if there is any law that permits a prime Minister to be a brand ambassador of a private company to which Rathore has replied saying that appropriate action would be taken against Reliance Jio for the violation. As per reports, Rs. 500 penalty could be charged on Jio which is terrible as it would be too difficult for the poor Ambani to pay such an enormous fine.
