Union Minister dies in a road accident

Union Minister for rural development, Gopinath Munde is now no more. He sustained a road accident when he is going to Delhi Airport to catch a flight to Mumbai. His security personnel immediately shifted him to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS). Doctors there tried their level best to save him but all their efforts went in vain.

The incident took place in the capital at 6.30 AM and he is declared dead at 7.50 AM. Early reports say Munde did not sustain any major injuries but he might have suffered a cardiac arrest following the crash. Other Union Ministers Nithin Gadkari and Harsha Vardhan rushed to AIMS but were saddened by the news. Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Munde’s death as a tragic loss to the government and the country. The final rites of Gopinath Munde will take place at his village Latur, Maharashtra tomorrow.
