America’s Big U-Turn On India’s Map!

Just a couple of days back after the US and India reached a trade deal and Trump decided to reduce the tariffs to 18% from 50% after India agreed to buy oil from the US and Venezuela, the US Trade body released India’s map leading to a jubilant mood among Indians. After years, Indians got to see the complete map of India with the disputed PoK area and Aksai Chin region integrated into the map.

Many felt that Prime Minister Modi handled Trump diplomatically and this resulted in the complete map of India. But now, the US took a huge U-turn on the map.

Now, the US has removed the map from its official pages on internet. This was after strong public debate on social media regarding the complete map.

While Pakistan claims PoK is part of their territory, China claims Aksai Chin to be part of their country. Incidentally, both Pakistan and China have their own internal territory wars. While China has problems with Taiwan and Hong Kong, Pakistan has issues with Balochistan.

Now, the Indians are keenly watching for a reaction from PM Modi or at least the Ministry of External Affairs. It has to be mentioned that there is immense pressure on PM Modi to integrate Pakistan occupied Kashmir in India.
