Hearing on YSRCP leader and ex MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi’s bail petition took place in Vijayawada’s SC, ST Court.
The Public Prosecutor argued that giving bail will result in tampering of vital proofs. He told the court that important information had emerged when he was questioned in custody.
The PP also told the Court that two others accused had divulged that they met Satyavardhan following directions from Vamsi.
Given this backdrop, the PP argued that Vamsi should not be given bail. He further said that they filed a petition asking for 10 more days of custody of Vamsi.
On the other hand, Vamsi’s lawyer argued that Vamsi had nothing to do with Satyavardhan’s kidnap. The government had filed a vindictive case on Vamsi, he said.
The bail should be given based on the health condition of Vamsi, he said.
Hearing arguments on both sides, the next hearing has been postponed to March 10, 2025.
Satyavardhan had complained that bail should not be given to Vallabhaneni Vamsi as he fears for his life.
Vamsi has multiple cases on him, one being Satyavardhan kidnap case, attack on TDP office case, land grab case, extortion case to name a few.
