Venkaiah Naidu's efforts for AP often go unnoticed

Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu is one man struggling in various ways. Venkaiah was a hero when he staged a battle to protect AP’s interests in Rajya Sabha during the bifurcation bill. However Modi government could not stand on the special status promise and Venkaiah who do not have a major say in Shah-Modi politics is facing the brunt.

However in the spurt of anger, many are ignoring the good works of Venkaiah. He is one man who follow ups every proposal sent by the state government with the concerned central minister even though it is not his duty. We have seen him go to those ministers along with AP MPs many times which is definitely very high of the leader of his stature.

He was the first minister to allocate 1000 Crore for Amaravati in the name of infrastructure development in VGTM zone after Union Finance Ministry rejected release of funds as the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is not ready. The central government rejected Vijayawada Metro as it does not fullfil the prescribed criteria but Venkaiah went out of the way and approved it. Besides the brickbats, he definitely needs compliments too.
