Venue finalized for AP’s first R-Day celebrations!

The state government has finalized the venue for the first Republic day celebrations after the state division. The event will take place in Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Bandar Road. Earlier in October, the Police Martyrs day is celebrated here and the Chief Minister appreciated the facilities and celebrations here. APACP Battalions in Guntur and Mangalagiri, Nagarjuna University and Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium were considered as the options for the venue.

Governor will be flying to Vijayawada on January 25th evening. He will be participating in the Republic day celebrations in Vijayawada on 26th morning at 8 AM and will fly back to Hyderabad Parade Grounds by 10 AM and participate in the event there.

Andhra Pradesh government has ordered officials to make grand arrangements for the first ever Republic day celebrations after the state bifurcation. Security will also beefed up then with the Governor’s visit. Our readers are already aware that it is a custom for the Governor to hoist the National flag on Republic day and address the people.
