Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YCP chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, visited Anakapalli district to meet the victims of the a tragic accident at the Essentia Pharma Company in Achyutapuram SEZ.
The incident has caused huge concern, with many workers sustaining serious injuries and several lives lost. However, Jagan faced a setback upon learning that the government was taking all measures to ensure the safety of the injured.
YS Jagan’s visit follows the current Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, who recently visited the injured and assured them that the government would cover their medical expenses until they fully recovered. Speaking to the recovering victims at the hospital, Jagan enquired if the government was taking necessary care.
Much to his surprise and shock, they responded positively, acknowledging the efforts by the government that their concerns were being addressed. However, Jagan did not know how to respond to the same, so he covered it up with a smile.
Chandra Babu Naidu also visited the site of the accident, spoke with the families of the deceased, and announced compensation of Rs. 1 crore for the families of those who lost their lives, Rs. 50 lakhs for the severely injured, and Rs. 25 lakhs for those with less severe injuries.
