Video: Z Category Security For Nara Lokesh

The Union Home Ministry provided Z-category security to Telugu Desam Party’s General Secretary Nara Lokesh. The VIP wing of CRPF will be providing security for Lokesh under this category.

Maoist threats, security breaches during the Yuva Galam Pada Yatra, and intelligence reports influenced the decision by the central government.

A team comprising 22 officers will offer round-the-clock security for Lokesh in three shifts, including three NSG commandos.

Following their assumption of power, the YCP government reduced Lokesh’s security, ignoring the Security Review Committee’s recommendation for Z-Category protection and opting instead for Y-Category security.

Subsequently, the committee sent numerous letters to both the state and central governments urging adequate security for Lokesh. Finally, this has now been implemented.
