Vijayashanthi Takes U-Turn, Joins Congress

Vijayashanthi is one of the firebrand leaders in Telangana politics. But the issue is that she has been flipping parties way too often. Now, she has left BJP and come back to join Congress.

The veteran politician resigned from BJP a couple of days ago and announced her intention to join the Congress party.

Today, she joined Congress in the presence of the party’s national president Mallikarjuna Kharge. She was then announced as a star campaigner for Congress in the election campaign.

Vijayashanthi had been staying away from the BJP since Kishan Reddy was appointed as the party president in Telangana. She also expressed her dissent of working with Kiran Kumar Reddy who was once a pro-united AP leader and then joined BJP.

Now, the actress-turned-politician has finally quit BJP and returned to Congress. This is a u-turn because she was in Congress first and then joined BJP and again returned to the former.
