Vijayawada PC to be upgraded to Capital PC

The upcoming Capital region of Andhra Pradesh will be getting a special Police Commissionerate very soon. The commissionerate will have 75 Police Stations under it catering for the needs of 60 Lakh People in the radius of 200-250 sq kms. The current Vijayawada Police Commissionerate will be upgraded to Capital commissionerate.

All the mandals and Police stations under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) will come under the Capital commissionerate. Police bosses have already started back ground exercise for creating this new commissionerate.

Since Eluru and Guntur zones will also add in this commissionerate, they are planning to make it Free Zone so that any police in the state can be appointed there with out any frills. It is said that the formal creation will be finished by the time Capital Master Plan is prepared. And special buildings will also be allotted in the Master plan for the commissionerate.
