The High Court has given directions regarding the illegal constructions on Bhimili Beach in Vizag.
The hearing on illegal constructions at Bhimili Beach was held in the High Court today. The HC expressed anger over illegal construction of a wall and pillars surpassing the CRZ guidelines.
The High Court also expressed anger over the partner company of Vijaysai Reddy’s daughter Neha Reddy. The Court directed that a police complaint needs to be filed in the issue. Then, criminal action can be taken, the Court said.
The Court observed that breaking the wall and leaving the foundation was not right. It also said that to estimate the loss caused by the wall, a committee comprising environment and forest officials must be formed.
The money spent for breaking the wall and the environmental cost must be recovered from Neha Reddy, the Court ordered.
If one goes back to last year, the illegal constructions by Penaka Neha Reddy were razed following a PIL by Jana Sena corporator P Murthy Yadav. It was said that pillars were raised for the construction of a star hotel on the beachfront.
At that time Vijaysai accused MP Sribharat and Minister Lokesh of vendetta politics. He also said that Chandrababu’s house on Krishna river bank is also illegal.
