Vinayaksagar idea will increase Nimmajjannam probs!

It is known to our readers that Telangana government has decided to stop Ganesh and Durga idols immersion in Hussainsagar and create a new lake exclusively in Indira Park called ‘Vinayaksagar’ for the Nimmajjanam purposes. However it is of the opinion that this Vinayaksagar move will further complicate the Nimmajjanam problems as the proposed lake (in Indira Park) is in just 18.85 acres while Hussainsagar in 1000 acres is not being enough to cater 1000s of idols from various places of Hyderabad.

This issue was raised by TDP and BJP on Tuesday’s All Party meeting but government defended its stand by saying despite Hussainsagar being in 1000 acres, not all the lake is used for the Nimmajjanam. Government also informed the parties that government is planning a road bigger in length and breadth than that of Hussainsagar near the Vinayaksagar which will also ease traffic problems during the immersion.

The idea of Vinayaksagar is taken by the government to put a check on the increasing pollution in Hussainsagar Lake. Government is planning to divert water coming in to Hussainsagar and vacate the entire lake and clean the wastes.
