The politics in Andhra Pradesh have turned rather interesting. The alliance government that came to power in 2024, remained quiet for a few months. Then the game began. They started locking up the YSRCP leaders who indulged in various criminal acts, one after the other.
Meanwhile, it is unearthing various scams by the previous government. This has heated up the politics in AP. Various VIPs are queuing up at the Vijayawada sub jail.
Till four months back, Rajamundry sub jail was famous. Now, the Vijayawada sub jail has taken over. With key YSRCP leaders being stationed at Vijayawada sub jail, one gets to see VIPs coming during visiting hours.
Ex MLA, YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi has been in jail for three months. He is in remand for Satyavardhan kidnap case and attack on TDP office case. Though he got bail in both cases, a case has been filed regarding distributing fraudulent house pattas. The Nuzivedu Court has imposed remand in the case.
Ex intelligence chief PSR Anjaneyulu is also in remand in Kadambari Jatwani case. Then there are those accused in the AP liquor scam. Jagan’s secretary Dhananjaya Reddy, OSD Krishnamohan Reddy and Govindappa Balaji are also in the same jail.
Of course, the main accused Raj Kasireddy and Sajjala Sridhar Reddy are also in Vijayawada sub jail along with Dileep, Chanakya. It is said the VIPs are queuing up for mulakhat with them at the Vijayawada sub jail.
Even ex CM Jagan went to meet Vallabhaneni Vamsi at Vijayawada sub jail in February.
