Viral Video: Narendra Modi, Nothing But Scrap!

A father and son sculptor duo – K Venkateswara Rao and K Ravi Chandra from Tenali in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh have made a statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The speciality of this statue is that it weighs two tonnes and is fourteen feet tall completely with automobiles scrap.

The artwork will be erected soon in Bengaluru. The scrap includes bike chains, gear wheels, iron rods, nuts, bolts, and other broken unusable metal pieces. The scrap has been collected by a ton of waste thrown away by automobile companies and collected from scrap markets of Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Chennai and Guntur.

They have used GI wire for creating facial expressions, hairstyles, beards, and eyeglasses. A team of ten members along with sculptors worked for over 600 hours to complete the art work. A BJP Corporator Mohan Raju from Bengaluru commissioned this statue.

The statue video has gone viral on social media. While there are people who are admiring the artistic beauty of the statue, there are others who are mocking the concept saying that scrap has been been made out of scrap.
