Viveka Case: AP Police Not Co-operating With CBI

Andhra Pradesh high court heard the bail petition of the accused in YS Vivekananda Reddy‘s murder case on Thursday. The counsels representing the CBI and YS Sunitha opposed the bail.

The YS Viveka’s lawyer, Gudapati Venkateswara Rao brought to the notice of the court that Devireddy Shiva Shankar Reddy, the prime accused in the case is threatening the witnesses.

“A few people who agreed to give witness, in this case, have now backed off before the magistrate after they are threatened by Shiva Shankar Reddy,” the lawyer informed the court.

The lawyer also told that AP police are not cooperating with the CBI in this case and that the accused should not be given bail until the case investigation is completed.

Earlier this week, an unidentified man threatened the CBI driver with a bomb threat asking him to immediately leave Kadapa.

Devireddy has 31 pending cases pertaining to murder, Attempt to Murder, insulting the modesty of a woman, and other sections.

The next hearing of the case has been posted on the 19th.
