Given the situation, the Central government has issued special orders to all state governments. The Center advised the state governments to conduct mock drills and prepare the citizens for safety measures. The Center told the states to provide information about how to behave if an emergency situation arises.

India warned of stringent measures against the terrorists, but Pakistan has been speaking of war. In fact, its allies are also making moves that hint that the neighbouring country is also making preparations for a war, in case the situation goes out of hand.

Turkey, a major ally of Pakistan has already sent warships to Pakistan and China conducted a military drill at the north-eastern border of India, escalating tension.

During security drills, air raid warning sirens will be activated. Students and civilians will be trained on civil defense in case of attack. There would be provisions for crash blackouts and early camouflaging of vital plants and installations, according to government sources.
