The Center has decided to mediate on the ongoing dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over Krishna, Godavari waters. The meet between AP and TG Chief Ministers is likely to take place on July 16 in Delhi, presided by Union Jalshakti Minister CR Patil.
The ministry has sent a circular to this affect. They asked if both the CMs can make it to the meeting.
Meanwhile, Telangana CM is in plans to put pressure on the Center regarding water sharing of Krishna and Godavari rivers. He is likely to ask for clearance of projects on Krishna river. Revanth Reddy will also be asking for financial aid from Center regarding water allocation and projects.
AP CM Chandrababu will be going to Delhi on Tuesday, July 16. He will reach the capital by 12 noon. He will be meeting Union Ministers Amit Shah, Ashwini Vaishnaw and CR Patil. He will be returning to Vijayawada by 9 pm on July 17.
