Website to track police cases in AP!

Andhra Pradesh Police department has decided to start citizen services portal as a part of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System project (CCNTS) in the state. A special portal, www.appolice.gov.in will offer 89 citizen service through the police department. This services are taken up for Vishakapatnam and Kurnool district in the first phase and will be extended to all the thirteen districts very soon.

With this portal, people need not go to Police station for small works like Permissions for rallies, permissions for religious processions, NOC for vehicle transfers to other states, permissions for cyber cafes, restaurants etc.

The parties involved in various cases can know the progress of investigation through this portal. Also registering cases, identification and registering FIRs will be made easy. Citizens can also register complaints on loss of cell phones, passports, certificates etc very easily through this portal which will later ease the process of insurance and applying for new certificates/passports.
