What Transpired in the Meeting Between Jagan and Modi?

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi sparked a huge interest in the Political circles due to the rumors of the YSR Congress joining the NDA Government. The events that followed after the meeting also strengthened the rumors.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office usually sends out a Press Release to the media about what transpired in such meetings but nothing such sort happened after this meeting. This indicates that there is something political about the meeting.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s itinerary had a Press Meet in Delhi after the meeting which was canceled at the last minute. Again probably to avoid questions from media regarding the issue. YSR Congress’ Floor Leader in Lok Sabha, Midhun Reddy also accompanied Jagan to the Prime Minister’s Residence but only Jagan and close-confidante, Vijaya Sai Reddy was in the meeting.

The meeting lasted for around 40 minutes. Buzz in the Political circles is that the Prime Minister offered One Cabinet Berth and two MoS Berths for YSR Congress if it chose to join the NDA Government. It has to be seen if Jagan will take it hurting his Minority Votebank.
