Who Will Be At Risk – KCR or Etela?

Former Minister Etela Rajender will be submitting his resignation for the party and his MLA position tomorrow. He is expected to join BJP in the presence of Union Minister Kishan Reddy sometime next week. On the other side, there are rumors that Etela will not contest the by-election of his Huzurabad constituency.

Buzz is that his wife, Jamuna will be the candidate from BJP. Etela will focus on strengthening the party across Telangana. This will be a very crucial decision as KCR will go all out to win the by-election. If Etela fails to win Huzurabad, his hard-earned political career will be more or less finished.

Having won from the constituency four times on a trot, Etela is very confident. Etela has spearheaded Telangana agitation along with KCR. He is well aware of the TRS’s organizational strength in various districts and so, he is confident of making a dent in TRS.

But then, it will all depend on if BJP can give Etela – the newcomer so much freehand ignoring the leaders who are already in the party. Meanwhile, TRS’s high command is also thinking on the lines of suspending Etela from the party even before he resigns.
