Why BJP MP Is So Keen To Fight Jagan’s Enemies?

BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy for some reason is a big support to YSR Congress Government in Andhra Pradesh. But he got into trouble with Andhra Pradesh High Court for that very reason. Going into details, TTD has approached the high court over ABN – Andhrajyothy’s coverage over Christian slogans (on the TTD website) while searching for the TTD calendar on Google.

Subrahmaniam Swamy filed a PIL regarding the same case and urged the court to quicken the trial. The court became serious about Swamy’s lawyer. “If the complainant feels the trial is getting delayed, he will file a writ petition. Why are you so bothered? Who are you to file this PIL?” the court questioned.

The lawyer tried to reason saying that it is an issue related to the sentiments of the devotees. The court refused to buy the reason and adjourned the case to two weeks. Subramanian Swamy despite being in BJP often criticizes Narendra Modi but is in strong support of Jagan.

There are allegations in social media saying that he is expecting a Rajya Sabha MP extension from YSR Congress in return. His tenure is ending in April 2022. ABN is the rival media of the Jagan Government. Swamy wants to fight against it and be in the good books of the CM, they allege.
