Why did KCR give such a hollow statement?

The other day we have published a report of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao saying that the seven mandals of Khammam which were recently added to Andhra Pradesh to facilitate early completion of Polavaram project will be brought back.

Interestingly KCR added that AP CM Chandrababu Naidu agreed for the proposal and those mandals will be added back to Telangana very soon. This statement created a political stir given the importance of these mandals to be in AP to make sure there are no issues to Polavaram project.

There is no political condemnation from TDP or the government but West Godavari district collector, K.Bhaskar clarified that there is no such proposal and in fact they are in consultation to get 4 villages from Burgumpahad mandal of Khammam to AP. But the question here is ‘Why did KCR gave such a hollow statement?’
