Why Janasena Is Not Contesting in Lokesh’s Seat?

Janasena has finalized seat-sharing with allies – BSP and Communist Parties. BSP is given 21 Assembly Seats and 3 Parliament Seats while CPI and CPM are given 7 Assembly Seats and 2 MP seats. Interestingly, Mangalagiri from where Nara Lokesh is facing the first election of his life will not have Janasena in the fray.

The Seat is allotted to CPI. The supporters of YSR Congress have already started bashing Pawan Kalyan saying that he has a secret understanding with TDP and is trying to ease things for Lokesh. But then, Pawan Kalyan has different things in mind. According to surveys, Mangalagiri is going to be an easy ride for Lokesh.

There is no point in Janasena contesting and so Pawan Kalyan just tried to get rid of such difficult seats for allies. Mangalagiri has some Communist influence, so CPI happily picked it up. If not for winning, the seat will be useful to CPI for retaining its presence there. That’s the rationale of Pawan Kalyan for dropping Mangalagiri.

YSR Congress does not buy this argument. They remind us that Praja Rajyam Party has come Second Place in the constituency in 2009 elections. On the other side, Lokesh is busy with the door to door campaign in Mangalagiri. He will take on the sitting MLA from YSR Congress, Alla Ramakrishna Reddy there.
