Why this sudden Special Development Package?

Central Government surprised every one including the state government with the Special Development Package announce on Wednesday. Many were expecting this after Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s tour in few days after the Delhi elections.

However it is said that the Delhi elections actually forced the Center to make this announcement. There are good number of Telugu immigrants in Delhi from Andhra Pradesh. BJP is trying as much as possible to woo them. This sudden announcement is to please them to an extent.

On the other side, Union Minister Nirmala Sitaraman on Tuesday night appealed to Telugu people in AP to vote for BJP despite the Special Status being delayed. She promised to make sure justice is done to the truncated state which means she herself is not sure of the package coming at the night. However we have to see how this peanut package will be able to make an impact on voters.
