Why Will TDP Remember Nandhyal Win for a Very Long Time?

Telugu Desam Party cruised to a Sensational Victory in Nandhyal By-Election by a whopping 27,456 votes over YSR Congress. The huge victory rejuvenated the spirits of TDP cadre and leaders ahead of the crucial 2019 Assembly elections.

TDP won Nandhyal four times previously and not at least one after 1999. The constituency is tough for the Yellow party. Out of the 2,30,811 voters, there are about 1.39 Lakh Voters belonging to the core support base of YSR Congress.

Muslims are the deciding factor with 64000+, followed by Reddy Community of 38000+ and SC Community of 37000+. These three groups supported YSR Congress in the last elections. Such emphatic victory will mean that all the groups have voted equally to TDP.

This will mean that TDP has only added new communities to its support base. This will motivate the party cadre and leaders to work even harder in 2019 elections.
