Wife’s over Whatsapping Killed the Couple

We know that social media is fun, informative and addictive too. It depends on how the person goes with it. Too much of anything leads to disaster which is what happened with this Pune couple.

Both are graduates, well settled and married for about four years, but always used to quarrel over the same issue. Rakesh Gangurde was pissed off with his wife spending lot of time in Whatsapping and Facebook also sharing their personal and marital matters on these platforms which let to another fight on Wednesday where he killed Sonali and then hanged himself.

The death came to light on Thursday, when Sonali’s brothers, having told by their mother to chek on Sonali for not responding on phone, went to the flat and found that the door was locked from inside. They then called the police who broke the door and found the bodies in the bedroom, Sonali lying on the bed Rakesh hanging over a rope.

Police found a suicide note in the room in which Rakesh mentioned that he is upset with his wife for sharing his fertility treatment details and the other personal details with her relatives and friends on social Media which is why he planned to kill his wife and himself.
