Will A Leader Like NTR Ever Be Born Again?

Today is Legendary NT Ramarao’s Vardhanti. It’s been twenty-eight years the legend has left us but the mark he left on the Telugu race is indelible. NTR lived a complete life. Be it his acting career or his political career, his achievements are excellence personified and have a profound impact on the Telugu race.

As an actor, NT Ramarao had a profound filmography. The wide variety of characters he played makes him the tallest actor in the country. No other actor comes remotely close if considering the various characters he played. If Crores of people just imagine God with NTR’s features, we can estimate the impact he has created.

While we consider his acting career as the greatest, it is not even close if we compare that to what he has achieved in politics.

NT Ramarao is the leader who brought drastic social and political impact on the Telugu race. He was the first leader who cared for the poor and who believed that everyone should have a say in politics irrespective of their background, birth, caste, and religion.

He is the one who abolished feudal systems like Patel-Patwari, Munsubu-Karnam, etc. He is the one who believed in and gave opportunities to the backward classes in electoral politics.

A majority of the BC leaders in various political parties today will definitely have their roots in NTR’s TDP or have got their chances after their parties were forced to give chance to match TDP. Unlike these days, NTR’s BC politics is not giving tickets to rich in those communities. Most of the leaders handpicked by NTR were poor and below-middle-class back then.

NT Ramarao was the first leader to make it mandatory equal share for women in the property.

These are the achievements he bagged when the people were ignorant, uneducated, and not demanding. He shook the system with his radical policies and stood strong even though there was strict resistance from the system.

Now that brings us to the question – Will A Leader Like NTR Ever Be Born Again?

We are living in times where people try to confine even a leader like NT Ramarao to a caste. We are living in an age where youth find it a fashion to talk negatively against the norm.

Politics have changed so much. Leaders these days lack the personality. Politics is all about cash and caste these days. Social Justice is a sham and is only about stuffing the Backward classes and minorities in namesake posts and sitting on their heads. The Biggest problem is that people have stopped expecting anything from the leaders. Leaders are happy about that and obviously do not make any effort to do anything different.

Politics is just contesting and winning elections. In these dark times, it is too much to expect a leader like NT Ramarao who awoke the consciousness about Telugu identity and the glory of Telugu culture in the people.
