They say the enemy’s enemy becomes a friend. BJP is the latest enemy to Telangana Rashtra Samiti in Telangana. TRS has started shooting BJP from the shoulders of Andhra Pradesh. Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Ramarao lent support to the cause of the Vishakapatnam Steel Plant.
“Vishaka Steel Plant was achieved with the slogan of ‘Vishaka Ukku Andhrula Hakku’. They are now trying to privatize that. Our complete support to the agitation against this move. If necessary we will go to Vishakapatnam and support the movement,” KTR said.
It has to be seen how Telangana BJP responds to this. On the other side, workers’ unions have been agitating against this move of the Center. But the Central Government had already reaffirmed its decision to go with 100% disinvestment in Steel Plant.
Meanwhile, Greater Vishakapatnam Municipal Corporation Elections are going on in Vishakapatnam. If there are adverse results to BJP and YSR Congress in this election, we can conclude that the mood of the public is against privatization.
