Will KTR-Revanth Debate Remain Hollow Talk?

Telangana CM Revanth Reddy threw a challenge to BRS chief KCR and BRS working president KTR calling them to pick a place and time for a debate on farmers issues.

The Telangana CM has come under scathing criticism regarding rythu bharosa and other matters relating to farmers. The CM challenged BRS for a debate.

Cut to today, July 8, Tuesday. BRS working president KTR called for a debate at Somajiguda Press Club at 11 am. KTR and his associates put a chair with the label CM of Telangana at the Press Club and waited for the CM.

The CM however did not turn up. After waiting for half an hour, KTR spoke to media about Revanth Reddy not turning up. He said as always, the CM renegaded on the debate.

KTR said that the CM constantly calls KCR for a debate which is laughable. Any of our cadre is eligible to debate with you, but since you took my name, I have come, said KTR.

I challenge you (Revanth Reddy) to decide on a place and call us. I will also come to your Jubilee Hills palace. You decide on a day and time, said KTR.

Despite challenges from both sides, the debate hasn’t happened so far. Now, it has become a point evoking laughter among citizens of Telangana as both parties are simply talking about debates.

While the BRS has taken one step forward, the CM is in Delhi on Tuesday. So, there is talk that the challenges appear to be hollow talk.
