Will Nandhyala Be a Decisive Factor for Jagan?

YSR Congress has taken the upcoming Nandhyala Byelections very seriously. The Opposition Party is keen on winning the election at any cost and set the momentum for 2019 elections. Luckily they have got a strong candidate in Shilpa Mohan Reddy thanks to the infighting in TDP.

Insiders in YSR Congress tells us that in case the party wins the elections, Jagan is contemplating the resignation of all his MPs and will be going for by-election with the Special Status Demand which will ensure that the party gets an agenda for 2019.

Jagan announced possible resignations after the budget session this year but is silent about that as he is not certain of the victory in the elections. So, Nandhyala by-election will be used by the Opposition Party to gauge the mood of the people.

Nandhyala by-election is necessitated due to Sitting MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s sudden demise. The by-election notification is delayed due to the ongoing Presidential Election Exercise. Bhuma is a YSR Congress who shifted to TDP before his death. His daughter Akhila Priya is a Minister in Cabinet.
