Will ‘T’ govt auction AP CM’s Guest house?

Telangana government has set a target of 6500 Crore in its first budget through selling of lands. There is hardly two months remaining in this year and the government is yet to touch 10% of the total target sale. In the wake of this, government had intensified efforts to auction some of the government buildings in the prime locations of Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts.

Government has zeroed in on offices at Basheerbagh, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, Himayatnagar, Barkatpura, Amberpet, Erramanzil, Masab Tank, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Abids, Lakdi-ka-Pul, SR Nagar, RTC Crossroads and Nampally. Majority of these offices are located along the main roads and the government feels that they will fetch huge prices if auctioned.

Government is also considering the sale of Lake View Guest House. However is in two minds as it may trigger controversy as it is already allocated to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister in the common capital.
