World Bank Report places AP No.2, TS No.13

On the behest of the government, World Bank has prepared the list of the states of India on the basis of ‘Ease of Doing Business’ index. While Gujarat bagged the top slot with 71.14%, AP followed Modi’s State with 70.12%. Small states like Jharkhand and Chattisgarh surprised with 3rd and 5th position in the index.

The study is conducted on the basis of some parameters like development and performance. Though Gujarat and AP are doing well, they still need to do a lot more to meet the targets set by the Prime Minister’s vision opines the World Bank.

While our neighbouring State Karnataka is place on the 10th position, Telangana stood at the 13th position according to the list. Easing out the permissions for setting up new industries and businesses is one of the reason for this placement. This is the assessment of the State implementation of Business reforms.

It is truly remarkable how AP Chief Minister Naidu has changed the trajectory of AP from crisis ridden state to second in ease of doing business in one year of his term.
