YCP MLA Manhandled Me: Polavaram Engineer

Suryakiran Police, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Second Main Canal of Polavaram Project had lodged a police complaint alleging that he was assaulted and slapped three times by East Godavari District Rajanagaram MLA Jakkampudi Raja.

The victim spoke to reporters after lodging a complaint at the Rajahmundry Third Town Police Station. During a review meeting, the MLA fired on the AEE regarding a pending payment.

While the AEE was giving the explanation, the MLA lost his cool all of sudden and was slapped three times in anger.

Suryakiran complained that despite all this happening in the presence of the Water Resources Department officials, they did not at least try to stop him.

He complained along with members of the AE Association.

The victim says he had given a written complaint at the Police station but the CI Madhu Babu claims that there is no complaint yet.

There are many such incidents involving the MLA in the past. Looks like the Chief Minister did not care much in the previous incidents.
