Jagan Clueless over MLC Elections?

YSR Congress Party, the main opposition party will face its first big test post 2014 elections in the form of elections to MLC seats. A total of 22 MLC seats will be up for grabs and it will be a test of strength of TDP and YSR Congress. The main opposition party in AP Assembly has to win at least half of these seats to be the main opposition in council as well.

But then things are looking extremely bleak for the party and political experts say winning at least 6 MLC seats is a big doubt now. Amid all this heat, Jagan Mohan Reddy is a very calm man and even the party leaders struggle to find any action from Jagan to win these seats.

Jagan Mohan Reddy could not even finalize the candidates for these 22 seats till date and in some places, giving promises to more than one candidate per seat which is likely to create more problems towards the elections. Even Congress is ahead of YSRCP in this aspect.

On the other side, TDP is doing all that it could to rein the opposition party. A defeat here for Jagan will give an impression to the people that Jagan Mohan Reddy is not a considerable force in the state politics which will be threatening to the party in the 2019 elections.
