
We have seen Chirala MLA Karanam Balram, Former Minister Rama Subba Reddy, and Senior Leaders, Satish Reddy and Panchakarla Ramesh Babu leaving the party. Now, MLC KE Prabhakar also announced resigning to the party. Reports are that Former Minister Sidda Raghava Rao is also going to leave the party.
This is to ensure that voters were sent a message that the leaders see no future in Telugu Desam Party and voting to the party’s candidates will be of no use. It is interesting to note that Chandrababu is not trying to stop the leaders from leaving the party.
Most of these leaders have enjoyed plum posts when TDP is in power and could not even sustain in the Opposition for a year. Its time the party undergoes a complete overhaul. New leaders have to be groomed and rightly projected in the media in the next four years or TDP will have to face the question of existence.
