YS Jagan: No Retrospection on Kadapa Loss

In what came as an absolute shocker, YSR Congress had lost the MLC seat in Kadapa and Jagan’s own uncle, YS Vivekananda Reddy lost there troubling the opposition party big time. This is a heavy jolt for the opposition party which needs serious retrospection but then Jagan did not even conduct a single review meeting there.

But then, Jagan is celebrating his lone win in Rayalaseema West MLC Graduates seat and is also claiming the victory of Communists in some other seats. However, there is nothing to celebrate here. Jagan was confident of putting up no fight in those seats and just extended Photo-Op support to Communist Candidates.

Even though those seats are strongholds of Communists, TDP put up its candidates and fought hard to improve its popularity among those sections. TDP is traditionally not a darling of Teachers but certainly improved its numbers this time. YSR Congress did not even make an attempt.

Political Experts say YSR Congress is making noise just to ensure that people forget the loss of Kadapa. That means a misplaced priority. Jagan should have focused on what went wrong as he failed to sail through his own uncle in his bastion.
