YS Viveka Passed Away

YS Vivekananda Reddy breathed his last due to a cardiac arrest. He collapsed in his residence itself and passed away. He is the own brother of Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. YSR Congress cadre is shocked at this unexpected happening. Jagan has cancelled all his appointments today and will pay his last respects.

This happened days before the elections. Vivekananda Reddy was twice elected as a MLA for the Pulivendula constituency, in 1989 and 1994. Then, in 1999 Elections, he was elected to the Lok Sabha from the Kadapa constituency with a majority of over 90,000, which was the highest majority gained in the state.

He was with Congress after YSR Demise and was made an MLC and Agricultural Minister during Kiran Kumar Reddy’s Regime. He contested and lost on YS Vijayamma in 2011 Pulivendula By-election. He joined YSR Congress after 2014 Elections and contested unsuccessfully as Kadapa MLC in Local Bodies Quota.
