Jagan’s AP Shift – A Namesake Affair?

YSR Congress Party which is operating from YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s Lotus Pond Residence since the 2014 elections has come under severe criticism for operating from Telangana even though the entire administration shifted to AP.

YS Jagan himself is doing rounds between Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Andhra Pradesh for political reasons. The party is of the opinion that YSR Congress is at the losing end due to this and finally is getting to shift to a new office in Vijayawada.

But then, the new office in Vijayawada was inaugurated on Monday and Jagan Mohan Reddy did not even come to the inauguration. Even a look at the office give a feel that it is more of a makeshift arrangement and the party seems to be not so serious about carrying its operations from here.

This kind of attitude will do more bad than good to the Opposition Party and the purpose of shift (Permanent or Namesake shift) will not accomplish. Looks like even Prashant Kishor’s strategies seems to be not working for YSR Congress.
