YSR Congress Loses All Its MPs in Kurnool

YSR Congress Kurnool MP Butta Renuka joined the ruling Telugu Desam Party this morning in Vijayawada in the presence of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. With this joining, YSR Congress lost all the MPs in the district.

Kurnool is a stronghold of the Opposition Party. It has won all the two Lok Sabha segments in the districts – Kurnool and Nandhyal in 2014 elections. Immediately after the elections, Nandhyal MP SPY Reddy joined YSR Congress.

With Butta joining now, all the two Lok Sabha segments in the district are lost. The Recent loss of Nandhyal by-election also casts doubts on the party’s prospects in the district in 2019 elections. Needless to say, the ruling party is very excited.
