YSR Congress Makes Serious Allegations on High Court in the Parliament

In what can be termed as a shocking turn of events, YSR Congress made severe allegations on the Judiciary and Andhra Pradesh High Court in particular right in the Parliament. Lok Sabha MP Midhun Reddy and Rajya Sabha MP Vijayasai Reddy raised the issue of the High Court giving a Gag Order in Former Attorney General, Dammalapati Srinivas’ case.

The judiciary in Andhra Pradesh is not impartial. The judiciary is in complete opposition and bias against the state government. This trend should be stopped immediately. Andhra Pradesh is facing difficulties due to the Judiciary. Many legal questions have been raised over the Andhra Pradesh High Court order,” Vijayasai Reddy said

“The Andhra Pradesh High Court is acting exceptionally well. Recently, the High Court imposed curbs in media and social media prohibiting from reporting the FIR registered against the former Advocate General. There is no evidence to support these actions. This kind of censorship is unwarranted,” the Rajya Sabha said.

This is the first time allegations are being made on a High Court in the Parliament. Right from the start, YSR Congress believes that the Judiciary is acting at the behest of former Chief Minister Chandrababu. For similar comments made in the past, the party leaders and supporters are facing the contempt of the court. It has to be seen where this leads to.
