YSRCP MLAs Sensed ‘Change’ In Public?

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is in the middle of a massive rejig of his candidates for the 2024 elections. Many MLAs and even the Ministers are also being denied tickets.

There are doubts if these are desperate attempts to avoid an imminent defeat.

There are signs to gauge the public mood in this episode. Usually, turncoat leaders gauge the people’s mood more than anyone else. They often tend to move towards greener pastures.

Before 2019, we saw a mass exodus of leaders from the TDP to the YSR Congress.

Some of them are upset with TDP for denying tickets but still joined the YSR Congress even though there is no ticket available there.

That is because they wanted to be on the side that was coming to power.

YSR Congress leaders and sitting MLAs who are denied tickets are looking at the TDP.

Four MLAs have already left YSR Congress party after the MLC elections

Jaggampeta YSRCP MLA Jyothula Chanti Babu is joining TDP in the first week of January.

Giddaluru MLA Annabathula Rambabu who won 2019 with the highest majority is also joining TDP after Sankranthi.

There are quite a few MLAs who are also in talks with TDP. We will see a big movement in January and the first half of February.

It looks like the YSR Congress MLAs have got signals about ‘Change’ and are moving towards TDP.

On the other side, TDP is keen on admitting YSR Congress leaders and MLAs unconditionally. Except for a few strong leaders, none are being promised tickets before joining the party.
