YSR Congress to Take up Anti-Pawan Kalyan Campaign

The main opposition party, YSR Congress sees Pawan Kalyan‘s Jana Sena Party as a threat to itself in the upcoming 2019 election and wants to nip the party in the bud. Jagan Mohan Reddy is touring the Capital villages today and extended his support to the farmers who are agitating against the Land Acquisition for Amaravati.

On the other side, YSR Congress wants to project that Pawan Kalyan has failed to come to the rescue of the farmers even after empty promises earlier and the party will not relent in helping the affected farmers. The government is going to acquire about 1400 acres of land under the land acquisition after they refused to give their lands in Land Pooling Scheme.

Jana Sena sources say that fighting for the farmers with 1400 acres will be detrimental to the interests of farmers who have given up over 31000 acres in the land pooling scheme and so they have decided to stay quiet on the issue. But then Jagan’s calculation in this issue seem to be different.

TDP government had executed the biggest land pooling in Independent India as farmers have parted more than 31000 acres of land voluntarily. Even though, YSR Congress tried its level best to rake the issue as forcible grabbing, it is till date remains as one of the biggest achievements of Chandrababu Naidu in this tenure so far.
