YSR Congress’ Walkout ahead of Crucial Capital bill!

The main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, YSR Congress seem to be not interested in cooperating with the government in the crucial Capital Regulatory Authority Bill (CRDA). The bill was tabled in Assembly last week and will come to discussion today in Assembly. The Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is also expected to make a statement on CRDA.

But YSR Congress seem to be with an intention to trouble the government and was stubborn to take up the issue of regularization of contract employees. Despite the Speaker promising to allow the discussion some other time, the opposition did not relent and finally staged a walk out.

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) bill, which will allow CRDA to oversee the development of the new capital region is crucial for the state which is left with no state capital after the bifurcation. The chief minister will be the chairman of the authority and the bill also give legal framework to the new land pooling system for securing required land for the construction of the capital city and other infrastructure.
