YSRCP and BJP Run into Unexpected Enemy While Attacking Naidu

Telugu Desam Party is reduced to a mere 23 MLAs and 3 MPs in the recent election. With age not on Chandrababu‘s side, YSR Congress and BJP may have thought it will be easy to run over the party. With Jagan and Narendra Modi baying for TDP’s blood, many thought the party has little chance of survival.

But then, both YSR Congress and BJP have run into an unexpected hurdle in the form of TDP’s Social Media Brigade. More than the party’s leader and the on-ground cadre, it is the party’s social media support that is giving sleepless nights to both the parties. YSR Congress which has an organized set up in social media is struggling due to their onslaught.

The other day, BJP Andhra Pradesh Unit released a Press Note warning of dire consequences of any social media attack on the party and the policies of the Central Government. They even warned of complaining to the Embassies in various countries if the NRIs are involved.

This is a veiled warning to TDP Social Media supporters. That alone indicates how effective these people are. “TDP does not have an organized social media setup. As of now, only the enthusiastic supporters are taking it forward. TDP should channelize their energies by bringing someone like I-PAC on board. The party should also set up a legal cell to aid the supporters if they run into some legal trouble. If these things can be done, they can be lethal for sure,” a Political analyst opines.
